“I’m a private caregiver and my client and I attended the Memories at the PAC movie yesterday morning with your dementia group. First and foremost, I’d like to say what an amazing thing you are doing for the elderly community. My client is in stage 4-5 of dementia and loves music. I researched all kinds of activities for her when I came across Memories at the PAC. I must share, with a grateful heart, that she absolutely loved this experience and raved about it all the way back to Manson. So, we will be back, and I have shared this experience with others. Again, THANK YOU for this lovely experience.”

Memories at the PAC aims to transform the performing arts center into an inclusive community hub that promotes cognitive wellness, combats social isolation, and bridges generational divides through accessible, sensory-friendly, and highly affordable shared cultural experiences.
By screening beloved classic films and musicals, we tap into the “Reminiscence Bump,” a phenomenon where familiar sights and sounds naturally unlock deep-seated memories. This outreach program offers much more than just a trip to the movies; it provides a joyful, accessible space for community connection and cognitive wellness.
For some, these classic musicals are a powerful therapeutic tool. The familiar rhythms and melodies bypass cognitive barriers and can combat social isolation through a wonderful opportunity to share a beloved cultural experience in a supportive environment.
