Suzanne Carr – Professional Division

Suzanne Carr brought a passion for music and specifically the flute to the Wenatchee Valley. Over the years that she has lived here, she has continued to encourage, especially adult flutists, with opportunities for life-long learning. Her current private adult flute students continue to be encouraged by her teaching and to show such an enthusiasm for continued growth. Her adult flute choir, The Columbia River Community Flute Choir, welcomes all adult flutists to continue their experience as flute players.

In addition to her work with beginning band students in Leavenworth, Cashmere and Wenatchee, as well as an International School in what is now Myanmar, she has willingly participated in the Valley’s arts community as a performer, conductor, and teacher. The Wenatchee Valley Symphony Orchestra, the Columbia River Music Conservatory, Music Theatre of Wenatchee, Musikkapelle Leavenworth and Wenatchee Valley College have all benefited from her enthusiasm and willingness to bring music to everyone.
