Numerica Performing Arts Center welcomes the fall weather with JAY LARSON, returning to the Numerica PAC stage on October 12, SOWETO GOSPEL CHOIR, part of the 2018-2019 season on October 21, and the October Monthly Movie on the Big Screen: E.T. THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL on October 25.

Following his stand-up routine in Cold Winter Nights, Jay Larson returns to the Numerica PAC stage with an entirely new show on October 12 at 7:00pm and 9:00pm. On this 22 city Mostly Crowd Work tour, Jay will mix his stand up with a heavy dose of crowd interaction and the occasional audience interview. Jay has a weird, unique and inquisitive sense of humor. All that coupled with his quick wit and imagination lend to an amazing comedy experience that literally unfolds right in front of the audience. Jay is best known for his fantastic story telling which has been featured on Conan, The Late Late Show, Showtime, “This American Life”, Comedy Central’s “This Is Not Happening” and is heard every Tuesday on his podcast “TheCrabFeast.”

This show is intended for mature audiences. General admission tickets are $22 and VIP Table seating is $140 for an assigned table for four. Seating is limited.

Soweto Gospel Choir

Soweto Gospel Choir was formed to celebrate the unique and inspirational power of African Gospel music. The 20-strong choir draws on the best talent from the many churches in and around Soweto. Formed in 2002, Soweto Gospel Choir has achieved incredible success in a very short time. They have travelled the world, recorded five albums, two DVDs, and have won countless awards in South Africa, USA, and Australia. They are Ambassadors for the Nelson Mandela Foundation and their patron, Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Soweto Gospel Choir has performed with some of the biggest names in music and performed for some of the most influential people in the world.

The Soweto Gospel Choir is live on October 21 at 7:30pm. This show is sponsored by Van Doren Sales with support by Dave & Sandy Gellatly and media supporter Newsradio 560 KPQ. Tickets are $27-$31 with discounts for seniors ($25-$29) and youth ($21-$25) and increased prices on show day.

E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial

After a gentle alien becomes stranded on Earth, the being is discovered and befriended by a young boy named Elliott. Bringing the extraterrestrial into his suburban California house, Elliot introduces E.T., as the alien is dubbed, to his brother and little sister, and the children decide to keep its existence a secret. Soon, however, E.T. falls ill, resulting in government intervention and a dire situation for both Elliott and the alien. This film is rated PG.

E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial is the October Monthly Movie on the Big Screen, sponsored by Speidel Bentsen LLP with support by media sponsors ALPHA Media, Country 104.7 KKRV, ESPN Radio 900 & 1200, and 94.3 Jack FM. The movie will on the big screen October 25 at 6:30pm and tickets are only $3.
