Numerica Performing Arts Center kicks off the 2017-2018 Season with two world-renowned musical acts starting in September: a capella group M-PACT on September 15 and the classic 60s group, THE ASSOCIATION, on September 29.
m-pact
On September 15 at 7:30pm, the Numerica PAC welcomes “one of the best pop-jazz vocal groups in the world” to the stage, sponsored by Cashmere Valley Bank. m-pact is known for bringing a unique mixture of smooth soul, percussive power, sophisticated harmonies, and funk and groove worldwide. The Los Angeles-based award-winning a capella group was founded over 20 years ago, cultivating a new generation of ears hungry for the fresh, raw power of nature’s “first instrument” – the human voice.
M-pact mesmerizes the audience by the thrill of their vocal acrobatics, innovative orchestrations, and commanding yet authentic stage presence. Their sophisticated sound and accessible appeal have garnered vast accolades, including LA Music Awards’ Vocal Group of the Year and Seattle Music Awards’ Artist of the Year. NBC’s The Today Show called them “Polished performers – among THE BEST in the country”. This performance is supported by Mona & Jeff Guentzel – Blue Sky Growers, Vita Green LLC, and Warm Springs Inn & Winery, with media support by 99.5 The Bridge.
The Association
One of the most successful bands to come out of the 60’s is coming to the Numerica PAC stage on September 29 at 7:30pm, sponsored by Roger Cook & Friend and Sunny FM. In 1967, The Association® made history being the first band anywhere to open a rock festival – the now historic, Monterey Pop Festival. Their album, The Association – Greatest Hits (Warner Brothers), is now double platinum and continues to be one of the longest best-selling albums in the history of the company.
With seven Grammy nominations, six gold records, and three platinum records, the band is celebrating their 50th anniversary, performing hits like “Cherish”, “Never My Love”, and “Along Comes Mary” on stages across the country. This performance is supported by Avenue Car Wash – David Noyd & Natalie Hoback-Noyd, Sam & Vickie Mills, and Gil & Kay Sparks, with media support by NCW Media.
