A 16-32 bar cut of a comedy song that shows off what you can do. Please bring a track or be prepared to sing acapella.

A recent headshot and resume (if available).

List of all known conflicts during the rehearsal and performance period.

About the Show:

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is a hilarious and glamorous musical comedy set on the French Riviera, following the adventures of two con men as they compete to swindle a wealthy heiress. Based on the popular 1988 film, the show features a witty script, vibrant characters, and a dazzling score.

 

Roles Available

Principal Characters

Lawrence Jameson

  • Description: A sophisticated and suave British con artist who charms wealthy women on the French Riviera.
  • Vocal Range: Baritone (G2–Bb4)
  • Age: 40–60
  • Traits: Smooth, polished, and cunning yet likable.

Freddy Benson

  • Description: A brash and energetic American con artist with big dreams but little success.
  • Vocal Range: Tenor (A2–B4)
  • Age: 20–40
  • Traits: Bold, scrappy, and unpredictable with great comedic timing.

Christine Colgate

  • Description: A seemingly sweet and naive woman who becomes the target of Lawrence and Freddy's con but hides her own cleverness.
  • Vocal Range: Soprano (A3–F#5)
  • Age: 25–40
  • Traits: Warm, endearing, intelligent, with an unexpected edge.

Muriel Eubanks

  • Description: A wealthy, charming, and slightly ditzy American socialite.
  • Vocal Range: Mezzo-Soprano (E3–C5)
  • Age: 40–60
  • Traits: Romantic, fun-loving, and sophisticated.

Andre Thibault

  • Description: Lawrence’s loyal French assistant and police officer, with dry wit and devotion to his boss.
  • Vocal Range: Baritone (F2–F4)
  • Age: 30–50
  • Traits: Dry humor and world-weary charm.

Jolene Oakes

  • Description: An energetic and brash American heiress from Oklahoma with a larger-than-life personality.
  • Vocal Range: Alto/Mezzo-Soprano (A3–D5)
  • Age: 20–35
  • Traits: Outspoken, lively, and comedic.

Ensemble Roles

  • Vocal Range: Various (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass)
  • Description: Ensemble members portray a variety of roles, including wealthy vacationers, hotel staff, and other background characters. Strong movement and improv a plus. 
  • Traits: Versatile, comedic timing, and able to create distinctive characters.
